Heart-to-Heart with Fellow Business Leaders | Why Great Employees Leave Great Business Leaders

📌I honestly share your concern, especially if your business is still at the level where the exit of one reliable team member leaves a major void in the system.
📌I also understand the worry 😟 over 'loss' of trained hands, vis-a-vis having to retrain, grow and empower another hire. Trust me, I have been there a few times in 10 years as an entrepreneur.
📌Stop beating yourself up, believing that all such exits were influenced by something you could have done better. No, it's not always about the usual: not enough salary, a toxic culture, or any of those factors.
📌Let me share a few truths about why your trained hands will still leave you in spite of your having built a great workplace!
📌Understanding these has given me peace, held up my focus and healed me of any feeling of being wronged or robbed.
📌I truly hope it helps you too:
1. Understand that that great team member will necessarily leave someday - sooner or later. Allow that sink into your mind!
2. Understand that an employee may truly love your company's dream but that doesn't come before his life's dream. For instance, you may have penned down an employee as your next CEO, and then they request to leave just before you made the plan public!
3. Realise that just as you probably also left somewhere out of a personal convictions to build your business, some great employees may sometimes also need to move for similar reasons.
4. If you are intentionally raising and empowering your employees to be leaders, they could sometimes outgrow your vision and need to leave to build their's.
5. It is impossible to contain team members, who you have groomed to be go-getters. When their progress in age, status or interests necessitate leaving, you will have to let them go, etc.
📌Dear business leader, find peace, therefore in knowing that you are bettering the nation's workforce and the economy with every employee into who's improvement or market networth you made timeless investments.
📌The good thing about this type of exits is that these great guys still keep representing your leadership and corporate brands everywhere they go.
📌So then, release them cheerfully, knowing you'll definitely attract other valuable talents to replace them.
Let nothing stop you this year👌🏻
Happy New Week!
