Heart-to-Heart with Fellow Business Leaders | Why Great Employees Leave Great Business Leaders
1. Understand that that great team member will necessarily leave someday - sooner or later. Allow that sink into your mind!
2. Understand that an employee may truly love your company's dream but that doesn't come before his life's dream. For instance, you may have penned down an employee as your next CEO, and then they request to leave just before you made the plan public!
3. Realise that just as you probably also left somewhere out of a personal convictions to build your business, some great employees may sometimes also need to move for similar reasons.
4. If you are intentionally raising and empowering your employees to be leaders, they could sometimes outgrow your vision and need to leave to build their's.
5. It is impossible to contain team members, who you have groomed to be go-getters. When their progress in age, status or interests necessitate leaving, you will have to let them go, etc.
Let nothing stop you this year
Happy New Week!
